Light Swings is an interactive light installation with the purpose of inviting people to use playgrounds during the night time. This piece is meant to create an immersive spectacle for people to re-imagine public space and civic life.
All the energy used to light the LEDs is powered directly in response from the swinging action, making the installation fun, interactive and energetically sustainable.
The Light Swing was created by me and Ingrid Gabor during a master program at Interactive Telecommunication Program (ITP) at New York University.
